Our Process

1

Obtain ORI

An ORI Number serves as a digital address used by the state to ensure that your results are directed to the appropriate regulatory agency for review. It is mandatory to have an ORI Number for scanning purposes. If you're unsure about your ORI number, you can obtain the correct information from your employer, licensing authority, or regulatory agency.

2

Appointment

You can conveniently schedule an appointment with us by using our online booking page, or you can give us a call. If you're only available on the weekends, we usually offer special business hours to ensure that we can accommodate your schedule.

3

Get Scanned

To proceed, you must possess at least one form of government-issued identification, ideally a Florida driver's license or identification card. You'll also require your social security number and a mode of payment. The entire process generally takes around 10-15 minutes.

4

Check Status

You can easily monitor the submission status of your scan at any point in time by navigating to the "Check Submission Status" section of our website footer. Clicking on this section will redirect you to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement website, where you can enter the TCN number provided on a card during your appointment to obtain the relevant information.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is LiveScan Fingerprinting?

LiveScan Fingerprinting is a digital fingerprinting process in which fingerprints are taken using an electronic scanner, rather than the traditional ink-and-paper method. The fingerprints are then transmitted electronically to the appropriate agency, such as a law enforcement agency or government agency, for background check and identification purposes. This process is typically faster and more accurate than traditional fingerprinting methods.

What is an ORI number & where can I find it?

The ORI number stands for Originating Agency Identifier. This number identifies the agency requesting the criminal history check and for what purpose. Without this number, we can not guarantee that your fingerprints are submitted to the right agency.

What is an OCA number & where can I find it?

The OCA number stands for Originating Agency Case Number. This number is only required for DCF LiveScan Fingerprinting. It is used in conjunction with an ORI number and identifies the specific company which should receive the final results of the background check. You should ask you employer to provide this number before getting fingerprints for DCF.

Do I need an appointment?

We do welcome walk-ins, but we strongly recommend scheduling an appointment in advance as we cannot guarantee availability in the event that our schedule is fully booked or our equipment is being used elsewhere. If you're unable to find any available appointments on our booking page, please give us a call.

What do I need to bring to my appointment?

You need a valid state or federally issued form of identification so we can prove your identity. We only accept original documents. Photocopies are not accepted. If you are under 18 years old, please bring a waiver signed by a parent or guardian. (located under useful links below)

Examples: Valid United States Driver’s License, Valid Passport (any Country), Military ID.

How long does the LiveScan Fingerprinting process take?

If you are prepared with all of the necessary information, the whole process should take 10-15 mins.

If you wish to expedite your visit, you may choose to fill out your information slip ahead of time and bring it to your visit. (located under useful links below)

How long does it take to get my results?

Your fingerprints are submitted to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) upon departure of your visit. It typically takes FDLE 12-24 hours to run the background report and send the results to the licensing agency. Once the licensing agency receives the results, they take 5-7 business days to process the results into their portal or clearinghouse.

What types of payment are accepted?

We accept Cash, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Cash App, Square Afterpay and ACH Transfers.
